The cotton padding is thick enough that my son actually sits on it for story time instead of flopping onto the rug a minute later. It fits snugly under the canopy frame and stays put even when he rolls around during play.
The cotton feels genuinely breathable, so my daughter doesn't get sweaty sitting on it during long reading sessions. It's a bit thinner than I pictured for the price, but it pairs nicely with the canopy frame and adds the softness we wanted.
It’s a decent pad for the price, though I expected it to be a bit thicker given the description. The cotton surface is soft enough for my kid’s play area, but it slides around a little unless the canopy frame holds it in place.
